Finding the optimal way to solve batch manufacturing and packaging projects – and then getting them done on time and on budget – is always a challenge.  What sets my style at JWS Processing and Development Services apart from the rest is a fluency in state-of-the-art technologies accompanied by a discipline not to use them when old, simpler methods can do the job.  

I can maintain flexibility because I am comfortable working on both sides of the desk.  
Sitting behind it:  The work experience below lists several senior management positions including serving as a member of the executive committee.  This exposure keeps me alert to the fact that managing is about decision-making with tough constraints: time, budgets, and always keeping the customers happy…
But also
Running in front of it: I am always willing to get down on the factory floor and work alongside compounders to resolve a tough problem.  That shoulder-to-shoulder work guarantees that I stay in touch with the difficult realities that need solutions.

The introduction of persuasive new technology brings more to the C Suite than just glitz; real money flows to the bottom line when batches are made in a dependable, error-free manner instead of accepting “inevitable” waste.  But less waste is just a start.  The excitement – and the profits – comes from more than doubling the throughput of processes.  (Ask me for details, I’d be glad to explore with you how you could do it too.)  

Safety, yes, safety, is another item I pay careful attention to as, well.  Not glamorous, but necessary both for humane reasons and for the good of the business.

With over two decades of broad and rigorous experience at Kolmar and two years testing my capacity to solve tough-nut problems at other facilities, I confidently launched JWS Processing and Development Services seeking clients with a need for the optimal solution… whatever it takes … new technology or old fashioned creativity … or even both!
